Samsung Plans to Speed Up Deliveries with Drones
Samsung has made a breakthrough by delivering the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 foldable phones via drones in select areas of Korea. The deliveries are currently being made to Jeju Island and coastal cities near Yeosu and Tongyeong, starting from July 19.
A two-minute video shared by the tech giant shows some drones in motion. Samsung aims to achieve faster delivery times and cover a wider area in the coming days.
It is estimated that the delivery time for the new foldable phones will be reduced from seven days to one day. The company stated that this is an AI-focused development that will continue to improve over time. Additionally, this service, currently available for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, may be extended to other Galaxy products weighing up to 10 kilograms.
With its new AI features and foldable phones garnering attention, Samsung is now making headlines with drone deliveries. Although deliveries are currently limited to certain areas, this method might be adopted in other countries, including Turkey, in the coming years. What are your thoughts on this topic?
